Made and designed in New Zealand, Kotuku is constructed using a whole-garment knitting machine, from local merino wool.
I created Kotuku as part of my studies at AUT, where I explored the potential of 3D knitting technology when used in areas outside of apparel.
In 2012 it was awarded Silver in the NZ Best Awards and was exhibited in The Cloud. This year it was shown in London’s Somerset House, and featured in Urbis Magazine.
Currently in the final stages of commercialisation, Kotuku will be available soon.
